Kapow Twihards! The Dark Knight is #1 on IMBD
The Geek World gives Tweens the old on two.
The all time best Batman movie, The Dark Knight, of course The Dark Knight Rises may give it a run for it's money, is officially the most searched movie on the Internet Movie Database site.
The Dark Knight blew away Twilight and Harry Potter films for the number one spot. With the new Batman movie just a short (from here to eternity) six months away, it is probably no wonder that the film is getting a lot of attention.
Not to be undone, Christian Bale is #8 for the most searched actor and The Dark Knight Rises is the #1 most anticipated movie.
The Dark Knight Rises Opens July 20, 2012. I can't wait. How about you?

What Was Intened For December May Need to Take Place in January
I intended December to be Batmobile month here at The Batcave Toy Room, but with so much going on, I had posted a limited number of posts last month and didn't succeed in achieving what I had intended.

The Dark Knight Rises Teaser Poster
The Dark Knight Rises teaser poster was released this week and it looks mighty sweet. The teaser trailer was also leaked today, but has been immediately been getting pulled left and right by Warner Brothers. I am going to check out the final Harry Potter adventure this weekend and I know the trailer is going to be attached. So, I 'll at least be able to check it out at the theatre. However, by Friday I am sure the sneak peek of the latest Batman adventure will be in full viral mode. Did anyone get to see the teaser trailer before it was pulled?

The Dark Knight Intro Done in Batman 1966 Theme Style
While I was doing my regular search for cool Batman related videos, I came across this intro from the 1966 Batman TV series re-imagined with The Dark Knight in mind. Adam West's name was replace with Christian Bale's and Gary Oldman with a likeness of Commissioner Gordon is in place of Robin. The villains were replaced by versions from the movie. Look for Heath Ledger's Joker and Aaron Eckhart's Two-face. Even the Batmobile Tumbler is there over the George Barris version. I just love the creativity that goes into these fan made videos.

Ellen Page Get My Vote as Lois Lane in the Next Superman Movie
We have revealed that Henry Cavill is the new Superman, but rumors have started that there is a leading lady list, just like the one for The Dark Knight Rises, for the upcoming Superman movie. The latest Intel says the list has gone from 11 down to 3 and that Lois Lane might not even be in Superman: The Man of Steel. I kind of have my doubts that Lois would be absent, but you never know. Ellen Page was on the original list of 11 and after seeing this pic Page gets my vote. I think I see Superman undies there too.
Any ideas who should be Superman's leading lady?
Update: Actress Amy Adams has been cast as The Man of Steel's love interest, Lois Lane.

The Evolution of the Batmobile from 1948 to 2010
Batman has always been well, Batman. His suit, as I see it, hasn't really changed that much. When you see him you know it's him. In a way I guess you can say the same about the Cape Crusaders car...The Batmobile.
The Batmobile has had way more looks than the Dark Knight himself, but just like Batman, when you see the Batmobile, you know that it is the Batmobile.
Autoblog, who had help from BatmobileHistory.com and researchers from CarInsurance.org, put together this cool timeline of the Batmobile. (check out the full size version at Autoblog.com)
Of course the 1966 Batman TV series Batmobile is my favorite. What's yours?

Batman 3 Rumors: Heath Ledger, The Return of Two-Face, Who the Next Batman Villain Will Be
Rumors surrounding The Dark Rises like Heath Ledger appearing in Batman 3 are going around everywhere. Most recently news leaked that Batman will encounter a villain that learns his true identity, sounds like Professor Hugo Strange to me, and that Commissioner Gordon is ordered to arrest Batman. The good news is these rumors are all true, but may not be exactly true for The Dark Knight Rises.
This seemingly logical plot description is actually for the video game Batman: Arkham City. Sounds like it could be the plot of the next Batman movie couldn't it? After all, The Dark Knight ended with Batman on the run from the police, who believe him responsible for murders that were committed by Two-Face.
So the rumors could be true, but the only things that have been confirmed about the movie so far are the title, that The Joker and Two-Face are out, and Tom Hardy has a role. I am sure we will learn more by the time filming begins next April or the very least on July 20, 2012.
Are you excited about the next Batman movie The Dark Knight Rises?

Heath Ledger to Appear in Batman 3: The Dark Knight Rises
I loved the fact that Christoper Nolan gave Cillian Murphy a cameo as the Scarecrow in The Dark Knight. I'd love to see more cameo's in the Batman movie series. Maybe even from a villain we haven't seen before like the Riddler, but I've also thought, wouldn't it be cool if the Joker had a cameo? Well, that may just be happening.
According to Showbiz Spy Christopher Nolan is planning on using unseen footage of Heath Ledger's Oscar winning performance as the Joker in The Dark Knight.
"Chris wants some continuity between movies and for the franchise to pay tribute to Heath and his portrayal of the Joker."
What do you think about this news? Should the Joker have a cameo in the new Batman movie? Or should Christoper Nolan leave well enough alone?
The Dark Knight rises is pre-production and has release date of July 20, 2012.

Vicki Vale? Catwoman? Talia al Ghul? What Female Leads Are Being Cast in The Dark Knight Rises?
Deadline has reported that Christopher Nolan is going to meet with six actresses for either a role as a villain or as a love interest for Batman (Christian Bale). The six actresses being considered for roles are: Rachel Weisz, Natalie Portman, Naomi Watts, Blake Lively, Anne Hathaway, and Keira Knightly. It is unknown which actress is being considered as either a villain or a love interest.
Here's what I think about these lovely ladies.
Rachel Weisz
Rachel Weisz has been rumored to be playing Catwoman before. I personally think she would be a great Selina Kyle/Catwoman.
Natalie Portman
Natalie Portman could possibly play Talia, but she's going to be in Thor next year. Nolan may not want to bring her into the DC Universe since she is going to be in the Marvel realm first. However, this wouln't be the first time an actor or actress has starred in both Marvel and DC comic movies.
Naomi Watts
I could see her as either Catwoman or Vicki Vale.
Blake Lively
Another possible Thalia, but starring in another Warner Bros/DC Comic Franchise...Green Lantern. Chances are Warner Brothers isn't going to let it happen.
Anne Hathway
I seem to keep steering towards Thalia as the villain, but I don't really see Anne Hathaway as Catwoman.
Keira Knightley
Since Natalie Portman is being considered for a possible villain role maybe she'll play Talia's decoy. Sort of like Ken Watanabe to Liam Nissan's Ra's al Ghul. Hell it worked on Star Wars Episode I: The Phantom Menace.
So, it's seems our theory Marion Cotillard of playing Catwoman is probably not going to happen. It will be interesting which direction Nolan will go with these roles. Since Rachel Weisz and Naomi Watts are about the same age, I think that Nolan is considering them for the same part. Likewise with the other four.
What do think? Think any of these ladies could handle The Dark Knight ?

Batman 3 Has a Name and It's The Dark Knight Rises
The title of the sequel to The Dark Knight has been revealed by director Christopher Nolan. But still no word on the next villain.
Batman 3 will be known as The Dark Knight Rises and The Caped Crusader's next arch villain won't be The Riddler, as previously speculated with Joesph Gordon-Leavitt possibly playing the part.
We at least know what to call the next installment of the Batman series, but with Mr. Freeze and The Riddler out as villains, who is it going to be?

Batman, You say!
I saw this video over at Bat-Blog.com and had to re-post it. It's a hilarious montage of every time "Batman" was said in all the Batman movies: 1966 Batman, 1989 Batman, Batman Returns, Batman Forever, Batman & Robin, Batman Begins, and The Dark Knight. Kind of reminds of Jan and her Marcia, Marcia, Marcia rants. Only this is Batman, Batman, Batman.

Third Batman Movie is Finally Official!

Warner Brothers has finally confirmed a third Batman film is in the works and will be released July 20, 2012.
The studio has also confirmed that Christopher Nolan would return to direct the follow up to his smash hit The Dark Knight. Nolan is working out the story with Batman story contributor, David Goyer.
No title or talk of the next villain, but I am sure the rumor mill will be firing up real soon.
Only two years to go. Let's hope it lives up to the others.

2 Hot Girls in a Shower: Batman vs. Spiderman
Two hot chicks in a shower answer the question who is the cooler super hero, Batman or Spider-man? I don't think these two even know who the Dark Knight or the Wall Crawler even are, but they give it a good try.
Batman has a trust fund? Batman drives a car plane? Where do hot chicks get this stuff?

What could we call this guy. Bat Vader? Darth Wayne? Oh, I got it. How about the Darth Knight? What do you think?

Another Dark Knight Interrogation Scene Spoof
Here's another look at the interrogation scene for The Dark Knight. This one is not re-enactment, but a spoof of the original.
Man, people just don't let Christian Bale's raspy Batman voice go, do they.

The Dark Knight Interrogation Scene Re-enactment
This has been around for a while, but I just thought about it and thought I would share it.
This is a re-enactment of the interrogation between the Joker, Batman, and Commissioner Gordon performed by Brandon Hardesty. This kid does re-enactments for every movie you can think of. The cool part is he plays all the roles in the scene.
Check out his site at BrandonHardesty.com.

What Would Happen if Batman Was Mudered?
Although, I think Christopher Nolan has done a great job with Batman Begins and The Dark Knight I can't help but admire fan films.
Fan film like Batman: Dead End where true fans capture the true essence of the Caped Crusader and put their heart and soul into the films. Not to mention their own money.
On of my favorite fan films is Grayson. An alternate reality story of Batman being murdered and Robin returning to find his killer. If you haven't seen it check it out. It's pretty.

I am Going To Need an Ocean of Calamine Lotion
I don't know what it is, but I love women in super hero costumes. I don't care if it's Batgirl, Wonder Woman, Supergirl or in this case The Dark Knight's itch inducing villain, Poison Ivy.
Batman would have his hands full with this one. I love the creativity that goes into the outfits Bat-Fans put together.

Possible Villians for Batman 3
Here is who some fellow Bat-Fans thinks should be the next villain for the next Batman film following The Dark Knight. Rumors have been flying since The Dark Knight's release. Everyone from Johnny Depp playing the Riddler, Rachel Weisz, Angelina Jolie, and Maggie Gyllenhaal playing the Catwoman, to Philip Seymour Hoffman playing the Penguin.
Do you agree with any of these fan favorites? Who do you think should be the next villain? And who should play him or her?
