Toy Deal of the Week: Funko Action Figue: DC Heroes Batman on Amazon
I've been slacking lately when it comes to toy collecting. Especially, with the '66 Batman side of things, but when I saw this Funko DC Heroes Batman on sale on Amazon, I jut had to pull the trigger on it.
If you haven't started your collection of Funko's '66 Batman toys or want to pick up an extra Batman, now is the time and a steal at $4.79. They were only 13 left as of the time of this post

Toys of Future Past: Toy Archive - Vintage Star Wars Barada Action Figure
Vintage POTF Barada was part of the "Last 17" |
Some collectors and Star Wars aficionados may not know this, but three of Jabba the Hutt's cronies were named after a phrase that would save the human race in the film 'The Day the Earth Stood Still' and in 1985 the trinity was completed with the addition of the Barada action figure being included in the original vintage The Power of the Force toy line.
After going large and scoring a vintage Yak Face, the quest to complete my run of loose vintage Star Wars action figures continues. When the Last 17 Star Wars action Figures were released I did have the option to choose from the entire wave, with exception of the aforementioned Yak Face, but I could not afford to purchase them all at the time. By the time I replenished my funds, the last wave was already vanishing from the shelves and I missed out.

The Hundred Eighty Degree Solution
Hold tight, Bat-Turn!
The Emergency Bat-Turn lever has been pulled, parachutes deployed, and this Batman is turning things around.
First off, a fangasmic thank you to all those who stopped by and said hello recently. Hearing from you all hit me so hard that words describing the impact appeared out of thin air. Connecting with my fellow Geeks once again has made me realize I can no longer stay away from my second home.

It Is a Dark Time For This Batman
The creation of this site was to showcase my collection of pop culture goodness and my focus on toys of my childhood. Being from a generation of Mego's World's Greatest Super Heroes, Kenner's Star Wars and Super Heroes Powers Collection those toy lines are my joy, my sole delight, my heaven on Earth, my very paradise. Unfortunately, the Batcave Toy Room, the keeper of my aforementioned treasures is no more...at least for a while.

Regrets...I Have A Few
At times I actually drive my super cool, yet non-geek wife crazy.
"Unbelievable!", you say. I know...right.
However, the fact is it is true. There are probably a few things that drive her crazy about me, but one thing for sure is the fact that I generally won't buy something unless I absolutely love it.

Why Not Be A Toy Collector?
This is a question that could have endless possibilities and is one I had an immediate idea for. I thought about this assignment all week and thought I may be the only one to answer the question this way. However, Mike from the Sexy Geeks House of Swag pretty much had the same idea.

31 Days to a Better Toy Collection Challenge: There's a Mess in the Toy Room - Day 2
There's a Messerschmitt in the Toy Room again.
The events over the past few months have required us to move everything from business equipment to I don't even know what into the Batcave Toy Room temporarily. My Mom has had to move in with us and one of our guest rooms, which was doubling for a storage room, had to be converted back to a guest room only.

31 Days to a Better Toy Collection Challenge: Let the Toy Collection Clean Up Begin - Day 1
A better toy collection, a better toy blog, a better Batcave Toy Room.
I've been reflecting a lot lately and doing a lot of goal setting. Goals always have worked wonders for me simply because they keep me focused and by staying focused I get things done.

March/April 2013 State of the Site: Vacation All I Really Wanted
I feel this on an almost organic level. Normally, I am sitting with my laptop in my family room or in my office with my book cases full books on toy collecting to the right of me and curio cabinets filled with my Star Wars Micro Collection behind me, but this time I am writing the original draft of this post on a legal sized pad of paper listening to thunderous waves crashing on the beach in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico.

"Toy Hunter" Returrns Tonight, But Did Anyone Watch "Collection Intervention?"
I am looking forward to the return of Toy Hunter tonight. I enjoyed the pilot and really went into fantasy mode imagining myself being just like toy collector Jordan Hembrough. Turning my hobby into a business and going on the hunt for vintage toys. I was also excited that there is actually a series that relates to us toy collectors, but wait! Another one comes.

I'll Take What's Behind Curtain #1, John
I've been working away on the reorganization of The Batcave Toy Room. In doing that, I've been pulling all my toys out of their storage bins and diligently finding a place for everything. However, I know once everything is out, every square inch of the toy room is going to be used, which means, where are any new acquisitions going? I will cross that bridge when I get to it, but once everything is in its place, I will be doing things differently.
First off, I will be finishing all of my restoration projects. Secondly, I will be looking to fill the gaps in my Star Wars, Mego World's Greatest Super Heroes, and Super Powers Collection. Brian from Cool and Collected posted a heads up on an auction at Hake's for an awesome carded Super Powers Collection action figures up for bid. I might seriously need to give that one a shot. Thirdly, I will on the look out for beloved toys from my childhood i.e. Kenner Six Million Dollar Man, multiple Remco Batman items, etc., that are no longer in my collection, but need to be back in it. Of course, I will post my findings, challenges, and success with everyone.
I am expecting to be back on schedule real soon. I am looking forward to getting back in action. Thanks for sticking around.

Weekly Toy Blog Roundup: Halloween, The Dead Will Walk for a Third Season, and Another Round of Purging
It's been another fangasmic week at The Batcave Toy Room as the purging continues. I only put up one group of items for sale this week on eBay to test the waters, but next week I will probably put up more than one group of items for sale. It's been great going through the bins and bins of toys I have and I look forward to sharing them all with you. Hope you all have a great weekend. In the meanwhile...
