Hot Wheels with a Side of Corgi

Besides my Mego World's Greatest Super Heroes and Kenner Star Wars toys, Corgi die cast metal Super Hero vehicles are some of my favorite toys. For a short time, I did collect Hot Wheels die cast cars, but that was short lived. Corgi always had the cooler cars. Mainly because they produced comic book hero based vehicles and like Mego, they held licenses for both Marvel and DC Super Heroes. However, as of late, Hot Wheels cars have caught my eye.

Marvel or DC?

My nephews, like me, love everything Super Hero related and my oldest daughter is getting to be right up there with the boys. I still think the love this stuff is in the genes. Like me, my 7 year old nephew, River, is an equal opportunity comic book super hero fan and proudly wanted to share this with me and I thought I would share it with you. Cool Super Hero Birthday Cakes

I will be celebrating my 40th birthday this year and I have been talking to my wife about having one hell of a birthday bash.

My nephew, who is a couple of years younger than me, had a kick ass super hero costume birthday party last year that they called the Super Hero Summit.

I intend to have full blown cosplay party. My wife asked my what I thought we should do for a cake. So I started hunting around for some ideas. Here's what I found.
