Hot Wheels with a Side of Corgi

Besides my Mego World's Greatest Super Heroes and Kenner Star Wars toys, Corgi die cast metal Super Hero vehicles are some of my favorite toys. For a short time, I did collect Hot Wheels die cast cars, but that was short lived. Corgi always had the cooler cars. Mainly because they produced comic book hero based vehicles and like Mego, they held licenses for both Marvel and DC Super Heroes. However, as of late, Hot Wheels cars have caught my eye.

Red Alert! Prepare Hot Wheels Batcopter For Immediate Takeoff...

Usually, I haven't had a lot of luck when looking for Hot Wheels Batman TV series inspired vehicles. It's just luck of the draw that I have been able to find Bat-vehicles like the Batmobile, Batboat, or Batcycle at either Toy R US or Target, but when it came to pick up the Batcopter, it was right there waiting for me.

While on  a mission at my friendly neighborhood Target to find another Battle For Gotham City for Eric Stettmeier's very own, I walked right into a display of the latest Hot Wheels representing the vehicles of the Batman TV series and movies. If it wasn't for Eric not being able to find the elusive Dark Knight Rises action figure set, I may have missed this entirely. Isn't karma cool?

The Batcopter itself is along lines in terms of detail of the other bat-vehicles and I am very pleased with its appearance. Although, the packaging does have a rock like background, reminiscent of the Batcave, I wish it had a matching blue background like the other vehicles. However, I do like the rock version better. I only wish Hot Wheels had done that with the earlier packing.

Nevertheless, I am glad to now have a complete set of the Batman vehicles that appeared on the TV series. Gosh darn it! I forgot about Batgirl's Batcycle. It's always the little things.

Toys R Us Now Has a Rewards R Us Program

When I picked up my 1:50 Hot Wheels Batmobile last weekend the cashier offered me to join the Toys R Us program Rewards R Us.

The program is fee to join. So the next time you are at Toys R Us picking up the latest Batman or Super Hero, Star Wars, or other toys be sure to register for the program.

Anytime you can save money on collectibles is worth taking the time to sign up. Besides the more money you save, the more money have to by more toy collectibles.

Picked Up a 1:50 Hot Wheels Batmobile at Toys R Us

Stopped by Toys R Us today to see if I could find anything interesting. The force was with me and I picked up the last 1:50 version of Hot Wheels Batmobile.



I have the 1:16 and the 1:18 versions as well. I always loved my Corgi Batmobiles and these are just as cool. Actually a little more detailed then the Corgi counterparts.

The back of the blister card reveals the other vehicles in the series. I would love to get a hold of the Batboat. It looks to cool.
