Just How Fantastic Is The New Teaser Trailer For The Fantastic 4
The first teaser trailer for the "Fantastic 4" reboot has been released by 20th Century Fox, which gives us our first glimpse of the controversial cast of Reed Richards (Miles Teller), Sue Storm (Kate Mara), Ben Grimm (Jamie Bell) and Johnny Storm (Michael B. Jordan).
We get see what is obviously the groups origin story and it appears that they are part of an experiment that ultimately gives them their powers. We get a hint at Reed's stretching ability and the Human Torch flaming on. However, we only are only able to make out the The Thing's silhouette and no sign (pun intended) of Sue's invisibility power.
Besides the trailer, 20th Century fox has also released the first "Fantastic 4" poster. Although simplistic, the new logo should standout to comic enthusiasts. You can see the poster above and be sure to check out the trailer below. Fantastic 4 opens in theaters August 7, 2015.

Breaking: Tom Hardy Pulls Out Of "Suicide Squad"
Tom Hardy, who previously portrayed Bane in "The Dark Knight Rises," has dropped out of Warner Bros' all star cast of their DC Comics based "Suicide Squad" movie.
Per the Hollywood Reporter, Hardy's departure is not immediately clear. However, with Alejandro Gonzalez Inarritu's film "The Revenant" running behind on its shooting schedule, which Hardy is involved, it is the most likely reason Hardy is leaving the project.
Hardy would have taken on another DC Comic villain, that of Rick Flag, the leader of the Suicide Squad, in the David Ayer's directed film, which the director describes as the "Dirty Dozen' with super villains."
With Hardy exiting the project, that still leaves Jared Leto as the Joker, Will Smith as Deadshot, Margot Robbie as Harley Quinn, Jai Courtney as Boomerang and Cara Delevigne as Enchantress , Viola Davis has been reportedly being cast as Amanda Waller.
Tom Hardy will next be seen along side Charlize Theron in "Mad Max: Road Fury."
"Suicide Squad is set to begin filming in April in Toronto and opens August 5, 2016.
UPDATE: The Wrap is reporting that Jake Gyllenhaal is being looked at as a rplacement.
Are you disappointed that Tom Hardy is leaving and is Jake Gyllenhaal is a good choice as a replacement? Let me know in the comment below.

Four Out Of Five Of 2015's Most Anticpated Films Are Geek Related
With DC and Marvel's announcements of what is to come over the next few years movie wise, coupled with Disney's plans in regards to Star Wars films, I for one have lots of movies that I am looking forward to seeing starting next year. A survey taken by Fandango indicates that the majority of our populations taste in films is very close to my own.
What is the most anticipated movie of next year?
Not only is this movie on the top of my list, but mostly everyone elses. That movie is none other than Star Wars: The Force Awakens.
The full top five are:
- Star Wars: The Force Awakens
- The Avengers: Age of Ultron
- The Hunger Games: Mocking Jay, Part 2
- 50 Shades of Gray
- Jurassic World
With the leader of the Avengers star Robert Downey Jr. the top contender for favorite male performer and Hunger Games star Lawrence taking up the mantle in the female category and driving the returning franchises for 2015, Star Wars newbies John Boyega and Daisy Riddle have made their own breakout lists.
I don't think any of the movies on the list are a surprise to anyone, but it does show the continued increase in popularity of the Geek genre related films, which is fangasmic news to this Geek.
What upcoming film are you excited most about for 2015 and beyond?

Luke and Leia To Be Featured Prominently In Star Wars: Episode VII and IX
With just a year to go, give or take three days, J.J. Abrams' Star War: Episode VII is on the way, but even though the first teaser trailer has been released, we still don't know much about the plot or how any of the original cast fits in. But with the infamous Sony leaks making their way around the Internet with all kinds of Geek related secrets, one particular leak reveals what the focus of Rian Johnson's Star Wars Episode VIII and XI is.
The Daily Beast has obtained a leaked Email from Co-President of Production for Columbia Pictures Michael De Luca to Sony Pictures Entertainment Co-Chairman Amy Pascal. Here's what he had to say about the sequels:
"Rian Johnson as you know is doing the main ones, episodes 8 and 9 of the Luke and Leia story lines, after JJ. Not sure anything is gained by looking at what Lucasfilm is doing except we are stalking all these people too."
So, the leak reveals that Luke and Princess Leia will be the focus of the story lines of Episodes VIII and IX. Recently, Mark Hamill stated that the Episode VII: The Force Awakens will focus on the new generation of characters. It could be that the new characters are all racing to find their elder counterparts, but we may have to wait until December 18, 2015 when the The Force Awakens is released or better yet, when more leaks are revealed.

What's in a Name...New Star Wars:The Force Awakens Characters Revealed
We can now put some names with the new faces of the latest installment in the Star Wars cinematic universe.
We received our first look at the Internet stir of characters via the the teaser trailer for Star Wars: The Force Awakens a couple of weeks ago. The 88 second trailer has brought about millions of views and continued debates and parodies after its release. Many of those debates questioning who exactly the characters are and what their roles will be in the new movie. Now all five of the new characters seen in the trailer have been named.
By way of some extremely cool trading cards, reminiscent of the vintage trading cards released by Topps for the original Star Wars in 1977, Kathleen Kennedy and J.J. Abrams have shed some light on just who the new gang in the teaser is.
John Boyega, the sweaty unbucketed Stormtrooper we first see in the teasers opening, is Finn. Daisy Ridley, the young women seen aboard the Speeder bike, is named Rey. The "They see me rolling, They're hatin" ball droid is called BB-8. Oscar Isaac, a character I believe was original meant to be veteran Rebel pilot, Wedge Antilles, and seen piloting a new version of the X-Wing , is Poe Dameron. And last, but not least, the Sith looking character with the medieval lightsaber, is Kylo Ren.
There is probably more to Finn and Rey's names, like Solo, Skywalker, or Calrisssian, but we'll have to wait and see what else they reveal in the coming weeks.
In the meantime, check out these cool vintage inspired cards. Star Wars: The Force Awakens December 18, 2015.

Kneel before Zod...New Man of Steel Poster Released
By now most people know that General Zod is the villain in the new Superman movie, Man of Steel. I have also read that Zod has some sort of army. My guess from this poster is Superman is surrounded by Zod's army. Although, they don't have a green glow to them...maybe Kryptonite cuffs. Either that or he has turned himself in for some reason. I suppose time will tell. Man of Steel open in theatres June 14, 2013. What does everyone think?

No, Hell hasn't frozen over and pigs aren't flying, however, when I first read this I thought it had to be some sort of prank, but soon after my first glimpse at this headline, more and more headlines with the same tale started popping up everywhere. Latest News on Anne Hathaway's Catwoman Costume in 'The Dark Knight Rises'
There have been photoshopped photos speculating on what Anne Hathaway's Catwoman costume may look like popping up all over the place. Yet, no actual pics have been released yet, but there is word of what her costume will be like from Hollywood Life.
"Anne's outfit is more tactical, like the comic book than the previous Batman movies, a source very close to the costume design tells us exclusively. "She will definitely be wearing the goggles and it's going to be less sexy than Halle Berry and Michelle Pfeiffer's Catwoman costumes. She's going to look more like a robber."Can't wait to see the official pics myself, but I especially can't what for what toys and action figures come out based on the movie. Meow!
Adds the insider, "But fan boys shouldn't be worried. This costume is going to be form-fitting enough to make Anne look Smoking hot."

According to Kermit It's Not Easy Being Green...Lantern
The trailers for the upcoming Muppet movie have been parodying (if that's a word) the latest 2011 summer blockbusters. Of course, since Kermit is green, it is only fitting that they spoof Green Lantern, which I previewed last night. I'll give my thoughts this weekend about that. Until then check this out.

Who Moved My DC Comic Book Heroes?
There has been some stirrings going on in comic fans utility belts lately since DC Comics announcement of the revamping of their super hero characters. Some favorable and some not. This announcement and pending change to our beloved heroes has reminded me of the book "Who Moved My Cheese." If you find yourself dismayed by the whole thing remember these points from the book.
- Change Happens - They keep moving the cheese. Hey, forty years ago, Batman moved from the Batcave below Wayne Manor to the Batcave under the Wayne Foundation building and back to the Wayne Manor Batcave. A change of scenery and a new pad is cool.
- Anticipate Change - Get ready for the cheese to move. Remember this has all happened before and it will happen again. Don't get attached.
- Monitor Change - Smell the cheese often so you know when it is getting old. Aren't you excited to see what changes are in store for your favorite super hero.
- Adapt to Change Quickly - The sooner you let go of the old cheese, the sooner you can enjoy new cheese. This isn't an April Fool's prank people. This is going to happen. So, the sooner you get over it the better. Think of all the new adventures. It worked for the J.J. Abrams new series of Star Trek movies.
- Change - Move with the cheese. Go with the flow. Are you really going to give on your beloved comic book series?
- Enjoy Change! - Savor the adventure and taste the new cheese! You may like what's happening with a whole new character.
- Be Ready to Quickly Change Again and Again - They keep moving the cheese. Refer back to point #2. Writers move on, Illustrator do too. It's bound to happen eventually. Be like The Flash and just run with it.

Smallvile: Prophecy- Check out the Legion Doom
Last night's episode of Smallville gave a sneak peak look at the second to last episode "Prophecy" before the 2 hour series finale airing May 13.
Looks like there will be return of Suprgirl as well as, what looks to be the beginnings of The Legion of Doom. I can make out Captain Cold, Black Manta, and Solomon Grundy. Anyone have any idea who the others are?

Marion Cotillard Cast as Catwoman in Batman 3
I had a chance to check out Christopher Nolan's Inception this weekend, which I thought was quite entertaining, but I was thinking the whole time, "Holy, Batman cast!"
Nolan had cast in is latest film a slew of past Batman film cast members like: Cillian Murphy (Scarecrow), Ken Watanabe (Ra's Al Ghul), and Micheal Caine (Alfred Pennyworth). The film also starred Joseph Gordon-Levitt, who currently is rumored to have an interest in playing the Riddler. As this had all dawned on me I thought, "Wow! Marion Cotillard could be a pretty sweet Catwoman."
Although things are still tight lipped on who the next Bat-Villain or villains will be, we know it won't be the Joker or Mr. Freeze. For me just as they hinted that the Joker would be the next villain in Batman Begins, The Dark Knight possibly hints that Catwoman would be in the next Batman movie during a conversation between Bruce Wayne and Lucius Fox about the latest Bat-suit design with Fox stating, "Should do fine against cats."
What do you think of Marion Cotillard playing the next Catwoman?
