Patterns for 1966 TV Series Batman and Robin on Sale at Williams Studio 2

Williams Studio 2 is having a huge sale on their patterns for the Dynamic Duo's capes and cowls! Normally, a $74.99 value, the patterns are on sale for $34.99 each.

Those of you who follow my Quest For a Cowl series already know I am assembling an Adam West Batman costume. I already have my Batman cowl, made by fellow Bat-Fan Will Reeb, and have locked down my utility belt, gloves, body suit, and boots, but I will now have a way to get my trunks and cape made in the same fashion designed by Jan Kemp 46 years ago.

Costume designer Lynne Williams and her hubby, fellow Bat-Fan, Chuck Williams, have painstakingly researched the original costumes for the series and have revealed exactly how to make an exact replica of Adam West's and Burt Ward's iconic crime fighting gear.

For those of you who don't know, Lynne and Chuck are well known among Fans of the 1966 TV series as well as, Bat-Fans in general and Cosplayers for their costume designs and attention to detail.

Whether you are looking to have a Bat-Suit of your very own or just would like to add the costume designs to your collection, now is the time to do it. You can buy yours at
Williams Studio 2 or at Lynne's Etsy shop. While you are there check out Lynne's awesome Wonder Woman Replica costume, just like the one worn by Lynda Carter. Gosh, I would love to have that displayed in The Batcave Toy Room.

Super Cool TDKR Opening Credits

The Dark Knight Rises - Opening Credits Project from Doğan Can Gündoğdu on Vimeo.

Check out this awesome opening credits for The Dark Knight Rises made by Batman Fan Dogan Can Gundogdu. The video doesn't use any footage from The Dark Knight Rises trailers, but does use stills from the upcoming movie. It has the feel of a crime/drama movie to me.

The theme music used is from Massive Attack and is called "Suck Me Up Dub." Dogan Can Gundogdu created and composited the sequence, while Gunisgi Cihangir did the modeling animation.

I love the use of the smashed cowl from the Bane Teaser posters at the end.

The Dark Knight Rises opens July 20.

Kapow Twihards! The Dark Knight is #1 on IMBD

The Geek World gives Tweens the old on two.

The all time best Batman movie, The Dark Knight, of course The Dark Knight Rises may give it a run for it's money, is officially the most searched movie on the Internet Movie Database site.

The Dark Knight blew away Twilight and Harry Potter films for the number one spot. With the new Batman movie just a short (from here to eternity) six months away, it is probably no wonder that the film is getting a lot of attention.

Not to be undone, Christian Bale is #8 for the most searched actor and The Dark Knight Rises is the #1 most anticipated movie.

The Dark Knight Rises Opens July 20, 2012. I can't wait. How about you?

Video: Moves Like Batman

This Batman video titled "Moves Like Batman" has been popping up a lot lately and has the makings of going viral in my opinion. Most of you have probably seen this all ready, but I think this parody of the Maroon 5 song "Moves Like Jagger" is just too cool not to watch again. Here's a shout out to the Screen Team Gang. You guys did a great job.

Random Toy Pic From The Batcave Toy Room Archive # 25

Here's a look at my Warner Bros. Batmobile Tin. I have never opened it, but I do know it contains bat shaped candy. Reminds me of the Star Wars candy filled heads from the 80's. How cool!

Polar Lights Batmobile 1:25 Scale Snap-Together Plastic Model Kit

I just can't get enough of George Barris' creation of the Dark Knight's car and I just couldn't pass up picking up another version of my favorite automobile. The TV series Batmobile was originally to be built by vehicle designer Dean Jeffries, when the series was to begin airing during the 1966-'67 television season. However, when ABC ramped up production on the series to air during the 1965-'66 season, Jeffries was unable to complete the Batmobile in time and the car was turned over to George Barris. Barris barely completed the car in time himself, as filming had begun on the pilot and the painting of the car was still not complete.

I picked up this second version of Polar Lights' Batmobile at Hobby Lobby. With a price tag of $27.99, it's a little steep for a snap-together kit, but with a handy dandy 40 percent off coupon, it's a little better priced.

This version comes fully painted and includes a pre-painted Batman and Robin, detailed interior, license plate and dash placard decal options, and pre-painted Bat-wheel spinners. I'd love to put this baby together, but I think I'll keep it mint in box for now.

Star Wars Toy Room After My Own Heart

I always think I have a lot of Star Wars toys until I see someone else's collection. Take a look at this awesome Star Wars collection that started in 1977 and is still growing. What an awesome toy room. I love seeing other collectors collections. Please send me pics or videos of your collections. I would love to showcase them here at The Batcave Toy Room.

The Dark Knight Rises Trailer - Official Trailer

I can't wait until July 20, 2012. I have a feeling Christopher Nolan has done it again. How about you?

Batman Theme (1966) Opening Credits Done With Lego's

My daughter loves watching the Batman TV series with me and sings the theme song during the intro. Granted she is only two years old, but she says, "Batman" like no one's business. Here's a cool look at the 1966 TV series intro re-done with Legos. Enjoy.

What Was Intened For December May Need to Take Place in January

I intended December to be Batmobile month here at The Batcave Toy Room, but with so much going on, I had posted a limited number of posts last month and didn't succeed in achieving what I had intended.

New Editions to The Batcave Toy Room: My Christmas Haul

I can't believe 2011 has come and gone. The year 2012 is here and according to the Mayan Calendar the world ends on December 21 this year. So, in that case, it's time to get things in gear. So many toys, so little time.

Here's a look at a few comic book and super hero related items my friends and family picked up for me this past Christmas. First up, Captain America: The First Avenger: U.S. Agent action figure.
