Just How Fantastic Is The New Teaser Trailer For The Fantastic 4

The first teaser trailer for the "Fantastic 4" reboot has been released by 20th Century Fox, which gives us our first glimpse of the controversial cast of Reed Richards (Miles Teller), Sue Storm (Kate Mara), Ben Grimm (Jamie Bell) and Johnny Storm (Michael B. Jordan).

We get see what is obviously the groups origin story and it appears that they are part of an experiment that ultimately gives them their powers. We get a hint at Reed's stretching ability and the Human Torch flaming on. However, we only are only able to make out the The Thing's silhouette and no sign (pun intended) of Sue's invisibility power.

Besides the trailer, 20th Century fox has also released the first "Fantastic 4" poster. Although simplistic, the new logo should standout to comic enthusiasts. You can see the poster above and be sure to check out the trailer below. Fantastic 4 opens in theaters August 7, 2015.

Check Out The Ant Sized Trailer For Ant-Man

My first awareness with Ant-Man was with an old super hero related skit on Saturday Night Live when Margot Kidder hosted the show and Superman: The Movie was hot. The skit included Ant-Man and being unfamiliar with the microscopic hero I found the character so ridiculous I thought that the writers of SNL made the character up to add to the comedy. However, I have lots of geek related films on my list of movies to see in 2015 and even though I still don't know much about the character, I am definitely looking forward to seeing Ant-Man.

Here's the first ant sized look at Ant-Man:

Get a miniature look at the very first teaser for Marvel's "Ant-Man" and catch the full thing during the two-hour series premiere of "Marvel's Agent Carter" Tuesday, January 6 beginning at 8:00 p.m. ET on ABC!

Ant-Man opens in theaters July 17, 2015.

What's in a Name...New Star Wars:The Force Awakens Characters Revealed

We can now put some names with the new faces of the latest installment in the Star Wars cinematic universe.

We received our first look at the Internet stir of characters via the the teaser trailer for Star Wars: The Force Awakens a couple of weeks ago. The 88 second trailer has brought about millions of views and continued debates and parodies after its release. Many of those debates questioning who exactly the characters are and what their roles will be in the new movie. Now all five of the new characters seen in the trailer have been named.

By way of some extremely cool trading cards, reminiscent of the vintage trading cards released by Topps for the original Star Wars in 1977, Kathleen Kennedy and J.J. Abrams have shed some light on just who the new gang in the teaser is.

John Boyega, the sweaty unbucketed Stormtrooper we first see in the teasers opening, is Finn. Daisy Ridley, the young women seen aboard the Speeder bike, is named Rey. The "They see me rolling, They're hatin" ball droid is called BB-8. Oscar Isaac, a character I believe was original meant to be veteran Rebel pilot, Wedge Antilles, and seen piloting a new version of the X-Wing , is Poe Dameron. And last, but not least, the Sith looking character with the medieval lightsaber, is Kylo Ren.

There is probably more to Finn and Rey's names, like Solo, Skywalker, or Calrisssian, but we'll have to wait and see what else they reveal in the coming weeks.

In the meantime, check out these cool vintage inspired cards. Star Wars: The Force Awakens December 18, 2015.

A Stormtrooper That Is Black? How Dare They?

You know...You know what I've noticed? Nobody panics when people get what they expected. Even if what they expected has been done before. If, tomorrow, pictures get leaked to the press, of like, the Millennium Falcon, or X-Wing Fighters and then we seem them in the teaser trailer for Star Wars: The Force Awakens, nobody panics, because it's what they expected. But introduce a Black Stormtrooper or new lightsaber design, well then everyone losses their minds!

Besides having peek at what some feel is an impractical lightsaber, our first glimpse at the next Star Wars movie gave us a look at a Black Stormtrooper, which has caused a stir throughout the Internet. Mostly negative from what I have been experiencing.

As most Star Wars Fans know, at least the diehards, Clone Troopers were no longer enlisted by the Empire due to their rapid aging and the Empire had then began enlisting loyal civilians into the Empire's Imperial Forces. Even Han Solo had been in the Imperial Navy at one time. So, it is conceivable that there were Stormtroopers that were black men. Even though we had never seen what was behind the helmets.

In response to all the negative reactions actor John Boyega, the Stormtrooper in the teasers opening, responded to all the rumblings via Instagram with his apprection to those supporting his role in the new film, while also addressing the nay sayers.

Was the Episode VII teaser trailer exactly what I expected? No, and if it was, would it have been as fun to watch? Probably not. I did expect to see some glimpses of the original cast of Luke, Han, Leia, but the fact that the teaser opened with a Black Stormtrooper, I asked myself, "Who's that guy? Is J.J. Abrams going to give us some humanity to the Stormtroopers?"  When I saw the new lightsaber design, I didn't say, "Wow! That's the stupidest thing I have every scene." My first thought was, "How does that work?"

Part of my being a Geek keeps my childlike wonder and imagination in check. One of the reasons I loved seeing this trailer was it gave me the exact same feelings that I had when the original trilogies trailers were released and kept me wondering what was going to happen until I was finally able to see the movie. Why not let it do just that gang? Let's keep the discussions going, but with that same childlike wonder.

A Stormtrooper that is black. A new lightsaber design. Who would have thought these two things would ever break the Internet? I prefer to let positive discussions about the new film do that.

Lets Take Another Look At Star Wars: The Force Awakens Trailer Again Shall We?

After countless fake trailers being posted as of late, we finally get a peek at the real deal!

Yes, the Star Wars: The Force Awakens trailer has finally made its way to our galaxy via itunes.

We initially announced the trailer would premiere on Black Friday at Nine, No, Wait! Thirty theaters across the United States, but fortunately for most of us we longer have to drive 300 miles or more to catch a glimpse. Now we are able to do it from the comfort of our laptops or smart phones or the Batcave Toy Room for that matter.

The first Star Wars trailer in almost a decade gives us 88 seconds of material to analyze until the first official full trailer is released, which I speculate will possibly be as soon as next month or they may hold off until next years Star Wars Celebration.

Directed by J.J. Abrams, "The Force Awakens" stars returning alumni Harrison Ford, Marke Hamill, Carrie Fisher, Anthony Daniels, Peter Mayhew, Kenny Baker and Warwick Davis, and newcomers John Boyega, Daisy Ridley, Adam Driver, Oscar Isaac, Andy Serkis, Domhnall Gleeson, Max von Sydow, Lupita Nyong'o and Gwendoline Christine. The film is scheduled to open December 18, 2015.

 Here's what on mind?
  1. Are we going to get to know Stormtroopers on a more intimate level? Or is John Boyega disguised a la Luke and Han?
  2. Why does everyone seem to be in a hurry to get somewhere?
  3. Is Han piloting the Falcon?
  4. Are Imperial Forces still part of a tyranny (TIE Fighters firing at the Falcon)?

What's on your mind after seeing the trailer?

Confirmed: Teaser Trailer For Star Wars: The Force Awakens to Premiere Friday

Many Bothans died to bring you this information, but...It's Official! The very first trailer for Star Wars: The Force Awakens will be released on Black Friday.

However, not everyone will get a chance to see it.

The trailer for the latest Star Wars film will definitely hit theaters the day after Thanksgiving (coincidentally the first trailer for Jurassic World will also hit), but ONLY at nine preselected Regal Theaters around the United States and only during that weekend of November 28 to November 30.

Here are the nine theaters that will be showing the trailer:

Irvine, CA - Edwards Irvine Spectrum 22 & IMAX
San Diego, CA - Edwards Mira Mesa Stadium 18 IMAX & RPX
Atlanta, GA - Regal Atlantic Station Stadium 18 IMAX & RPX
Chicago, IL - Regal City North Stadium 14 IMAX & RPX
New York, NY - Regal Union Square Stadium 14
Warrington, PA - Regal Warrington Crossing Stadium 22 & IMAX
Knoxville, TN - Regal Pinnacle Stadium 18 IMAX & RPX
Houston, TX - Edwards Houston Marq'E Stadium 23 IMAX & RPX
Seattle, WA - Regal Thornton Place Stadium 14 & IMAX

The good news is the trailer will be playing before every single movie showing that weekend. Unlike select movies when the first trailer for The Phantom Menace was released. Info has already been pulled from Regal's site. Luckily, sites like your friendly neighborhood Batcave Toy Room have the lowdown.

Still no word on when the trailer will get a full run at theaters every where, but we'll definitely be sharing soon as we hear.

How does everyone feel about this being in limited release? Anyone willing to make a trek to the closet theater to see it?

The Dark Knight Rises Lego Trailer (Video)

I loved Legos as a kid and always dreamed of them making Batman, Super Heroes, and Star Wars versions. Sometimes I amaze myself with toys I would dream up to have them become a reality years later. Gosh I missed my calling.

Up, Up, and Away...The New Man of Steel Trailer Soars

The Man of Steel trailer was finally released by Warner Brothers and I don't know about you, but it brought a tear to my eye. In the trailer we get to see the context of the above pic and besides not having red trunks, Superman also has no yellow "S" on his cape.

Variations of Man of Steel Trailer Premiere With The Dark Knight Rises

I had the chance to see the highly anticipated The Dark Knight Rises this past weekend and loved it. I've had the pleasure of chatting about the film with fellow Bat-fans like Eric Stettmeier of Toyriffic fame and Mike from The Sexy Geek's House of Swag and it's great to hear everyone's take on the movie. I'd love to hear what everyone else's thoughts are as soon as you've had a chance to see the movie. Before the latest Batman movie began, I was also excited to see the first glimpse at the Christopher Nolan produced Superman film, Man of Steel.

Fire Is Definitely Rising In The New Dark Knight Rises Poster

We are less than two months away from the premiere of latest installment of Christopher Nolan's Batman franchise, The Dark Knight Rises. Recently we saw what probably be will the last updated trailer for the film and now we get to see the latest and greatest poster. It is very similar to the first version of  The Dark Knight Rises teaser poster and is now bringing this film series full circle. I think this poster looks pretty sweet and wish I had room to hang in the toy room. Is any one else planning on playing hooky like I am when The Dark Knight Rises on July 20?

A Fire Will Rise in The Dark Knight Rises

Although I am looking forward to seeing The Avengers this weekend,I am even more excited for the July 20 release of the last Christopher Nolan directed Batman film, The Dark Knight Rises. Anyone else as excited as I am?

Super Cool TDKR Opening Credits

The Dark Knight Rises - Opening Credits Project from Doğan Can Gündoğdu on Vimeo.

Check out this awesome opening credits for The Dark Knight Rises made by Batman Fan Dogan Can Gundogdu. The video doesn't use any footage from The Dark Knight Rises trailers, but does use stills from the upcoming movie. It has the feel of a crime/drama movie to me.

The theme music used is from Massive Attack and is called "Suck Me Up Dub." Dogan Can Gundogdu created and composited the sequence, while Gunisgi Cihangir did the modeling animation.

I love the use of the smashed cowl from the Bane Teaser posters at the end.

The Dark Knight Rises opens July 20.

The Walking Dead 2nd Season Trailer Revealed at SDCC

The second season trailer of The Walking Dead has been released.

I love this show and can't wait for its return in October. This isn't a teaser trailer, it's over four minutes long and is a great appetizer to get your appetite ready for the zombie fun to come.

The Walking Dead second season premiere is October 16, 2011.

The Dark Knight Rises Official Teaser Trailer, Finally!

Here it Bat-Fans! The official teaser trailer for The Dark Knight Rises. It's popping up everywhere now after Warners Bros. watch dogs were pulling it down all weekend, but it's finally been officially released. What do you think? Anyone else excited?

Captain America: The First Avenger Trailer

We finally get to see more of Captain America: The First Avenger than just pictures. The release of the trailer took place for the Super Bowl. I think this movie looks great and will be right up there with Iron Man as far as story telling. I hadn't even thought of it before, but seeing Chris Evans as weakling Steve Rodgers and transformed into the shield wielding Captain America is just great. I am generally more a DC guy rather than a Marvel, but I am definitely looking forward to this one.

At Last! The Green Lantern Movie Trailer

The brightest day...The blackest night. It will be a while before the we see even a teaser trailer for the new Batman movie "The Dark Knight Rises", but the Green Lantern trailer, which will frontline Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 1, is out.

It's great to see the the Emerald Guardian is coming to the big screen, but will it be as good as the Batman or Iron Man films have been. Time will tell.

How do you think the new Green Lantern movie will do?
