Cool Repro Star Wars 12 Inch Vintage Style Boxes for 3 3/4 Inch Figures

I recently got a hankering for starting my vintage Star Wars 12 inch action figure collection. So I decided to shop around EBay for a bit and see what those guys were selling for these days.

Check out what I found. Reproduction boxes with large action figure designs, but made for the smaller version of figures. I thought it was original since it was the first time I had seen them. Take a look.

Remembering Star Wars Large Size Action Figures

I have never owned any of the large size 12 inch Star Wars figures, but they have always been on my wish list. I guess I just never got around to picking any up or just could never find complete figures without paying an arm and a leg.

I do have some 12 inch figures from Mego though. I have a Superman (the Christopher Reeve version), Magnetic Robin, and Spiderman. I'll get around to posting those eventually.

Reis over Geek Orthodox picked up a sweet 12 inch (sorry 15 inch) Darth Vader at the Emerald City Comic-Con this past week and inspired me to look into starting my large size figure collection.

The 12 inch line from Kenner sadly didn't last long, but here's a look at the commercials I remember seeing while watching cartoons on Saturday morning.

Boba Fett is the best.

Ever Take a Bath with a Ewok?

There were lots of pics popping up lately of Avon's vintage Batmobile bubble bath, which I do own myself. I pulled it out to post a pic of mine and my wife asked me what it was.

She was amazed I still had it and asked me what I was going to post next, soap on a rope? Well, funny you should say that honey. Here's a look at my Star Wars soap collection.

Playful Wicket the Ewok. The small furry Ewok hunter and friend to Princess Leia. He looks harmless, but is a fearless fighter when provoked. That's why he's so great at helping you win the battle against dirt and grime. Lather up with wicket the Ewok and feel playful yourself.

Luke Skywalker, the bravest of all the warriors in the Rebellion. Once a farm boy on the desert world of Tantooine, now he mans his own spaceship, fighting the Imperial Forces, wherever he finds them. That's why he's so great at cleaning up dirt and grime. Lather up with Luke and feel like a hero yourself.

Chatty C-3PO. This talkative droid is always seen with his pal R2-D2, but now you can be his buddy too. C-3PO understands every language, and because he's such a good, all-knowing companion he knows best how to get rid of dirt and grime. Lather up with C-3PO. He's your best pal when it comes to keeping clean.
Fearless Darth Vader. This towering giant is the evil leader of the Imperial Forces. He is the most powerful villain in the galaxy. That's what makes him so great at rubbing out dirt and grime. Lather up with Darth Vader and feel like a giant yourself.

There is something about those descriptions on the backs of the boxes that make me feel more dirty than clean.

Another Cool Star Wars Toy From the 2010 Toy Fair

I am very excited about the rocket firing Boba Fett that was announced at this years toy fair (I need to find out how to get tickets to that thing). Here's another look at Hasbro out doing themselves with an update to the AT-AT.

Back in 1981 when Kenner released the original vintage AT-AT I thought it was the Catwoman's meow. It is one of the greatest Star Wars toys the had ever come out with.

The Empire Strikes Back celebrates it's 30th birthday this year and Hasbro is helping to celebrate with this baby.

The chin blasters have sound effects from the movie, has movie quotes from Darth Vader himself, has a winch so you can help Luke plant his grenade, a back that opens to reveal speeder bike storage. The All Terran Armored Transport holds up to 20 figures with room for two pilots and a commander in the cockpit. It comes with an AT-At driver and feet sized to scale so it can crush anything that crosses its path.

The force is with Hasbro on this one.

Princess Leia Sure Did Get Around

Between Han and Luke, Leia sure did make the rounds. I found this pic today proving even Chewbacca was even getting in on the action. OK, Easy Chewie!
