Fear The Walking Dead May Reveal How The Zombie Outbreak Began

During the Season 5 finale of The Walking Dead, we were treated to an ever so slight sneak peek at it's new companion series, Fear The Walking Dead. The new spin off series or prequel series rather, takes place in Los Angeles at the start of the zombie outbreak.

The new series will have all new characters and at this time will have no ties to the existing series other than it talking place in the same zombie apocalyptic Walking Dead world. Walking Dead creator, Robert Kirkman, has commented on disliking fan favorite episodes like "TS-19" that had dealt with possible causes of the outbreak. So, it will be interesting just how much we will learn about the start or the cause of the zombie virus in this new series. Below is the official synopsis of new series:

What did the world look like as it was transforming into the horrifying apocalypse depicted in The Walking Dead? This summer, AMC will answer that question with Fear The Walking Dead, an all-new original series set in Los Angeles, following new characters as they face the beginning of the end of the world.

Here's a look at the new teaser:



 Fear the Walking Dead star Cliff Curtis as a divorced teacher Sean Cabera, and Kim Dickens, previously seen in Deadwood and Lost, as guidance counselor Nancy Tomkins. Frank Dillane and Alycia Debnam Carey star as Nancy's kids, Nick and Ashley. The series will eventually catch up to the events of The Walking Dead.

AMC definitely has faith in the series as it has picked up the TV show for two seasons, kicking off with six one-hour episodes for the first season, which will premiere this Summer.

I have news for you buddy, it's not the flu. Anyone else excited for the new Walking Dead series?

Harp Version of Walking Dead Theme is Bad Ass

Besides Batman and Star Wars toys and the movies and TV series that inspire them, I am a huge fan of The Walking Dead. The zombie fested TV series has continuously climbed up the ratings charts hitting an all time high of 12.26 million viewers for the third season mid-season premiere.

McFarlane Toys Debuting The Walking Dead Action Figures at NYCC!

Not only is my favorite TV series right now, The Walking Dead, premiering its second season on Sunday October 16, but McFarlane Toys is debuting the action figures based on the series at the New York Comic-Con the same weekend October 13-16.

I am not one to usually stray from my usual Star Wars, Batman and Super Hero toys, but I may have to do that when these awesome figures come out. Boy do these guys look sweet! The first four released will by Rick Grimes, Daryl Dixon, Zombie Biter, and Zombie Walker.

These figures are sculpted using 3-D scans of the actual actors from the series. The figures will debut in limited sets for $60 at the NYCC and then be officially released in November. I can't wait. How about everyone else? Any interest?

The Walking Dead 2nd Season Trailer Revealed at SDCC

The second season trailer of The Walking Dead has been released.

I love this show and can't wait for its return in October. This isn't a teaser trailer, it's over four minutes long and is a great appetizer to get your appetite ready for the zombie fun to come.

The Walking Dead second season premiere is October 16, 2011.

First Pics From The Walking Dead's 2nd Season

AMC has released two 'first look' photos from Season 2 of its critically acclaimed original series, The Walking Dead. Looks even cooler than last season (even though it's rumored AMC is cutting their budget). I can't wait for this show to get going again. Is it October yet?

Where's Merle?

It's going to be a good 10 months before The Walking Dead is back for its 2nd season, but we are already starting to see teasers of what the 2nd season may bring.

So, where is Merle? The last we saw of him was his hand. Left where he was last seen, handcuffed to the roof of a building in downtown Georgia. One interesting theory I have heard thinks Merle lead the zombies back to where our group of refugees had camp set up. Did he do this to get revenge? I guess we'll have to wait and see in October.

Congratulations to The Walking Dead for Their Golden Globe Nod!

It was announced today, by the Hollywood Foreign Press Association, that my favorite new show, The Walking Dead was honored with a nod in the category Best Television Series (Drama).

Competing with The Walking Dead and Mad Men for the Best Drama award are HBO's Boardwalk Empire, Showtime's Dexter and CBS's The Good Wife.

I can't believe AMC only ordered six episodes for the first season. I guess we'll just have to watch the show win all kinds of awards until next Halloween.
