Toy Bloggers Go on Hiatus Too, Don't They?

I've been AWOL for a couple of weeks and it's been great reading everyones toy blogs today and catching up with what everyone has been up too. I see Reis changed the name of his blog again (been there myself) and I love the new name, The Lair of the Dark Horde. Third times a charm sir.

Last year ended with a bang and was absolutely non-stop and 2012 is off to the same start. I miss sharing my treasures with you, but I really have had no time to take pics and write posts. I am also about to follow in BubbaShelby's footsteps with daughter number two on the way. So, the busyness is definitely going to continue.

Last week my two year old, daughter number 1, belted out the 1966 Batman theme while out and about. I guy turned to me and said, "Is she singing the Batman theme?" He thought it was the coolest thing he had ever seen. I wish I would have caught it on video. Also, the other day, she said, "Bam!" followed by a series of mock punches and shouted Batman and Robin. She absolutely amazes me. I can't wait to see if the new little one is Father like daughter too.

I am going to try and sneak some pics in here and there and be back to business as soon as possible. See you again soon.

  1. Congrats on the new edition to your family John and am looking forward to more posts soon.

  2. Ahhh there you are- you get a free pass for Daddy duty, Sir :D

  3. We'll be here when you get back to full speed. In the meantime a huge CONGRATS! on your upcoming baby girl! Get as much sleep as you can now, you won't get another chance for a loooong time! ;)

And it sounds like you are raising your girl right. My oldest is celebrating her 10th birthday next month and I got her the entire Batman tv series on DVD (including the Batgirl pilot) and we are going to meet Yvonne Craig that day at a local toy show! It's going to be awesome!

  4. Colin - Thank you sir. I might need a few of them.

  5. BubbaShelby - Thank you sir. I forgot what it was like back when my two year old was a newbie.

That's awesome. Happy birthday to your little lady. My oldest loves watching the Batman TV series with me. I remember when I was young and my Dad took me to meet Adam West and Burt Ward. I remember it like yesterday. Hopefully, Adam, Burt and Yvonne will still be around when she's old enough. If she's still in to it when she's older, I'd love for her to have the chance to meet them too.
