Do You Have Time For Your Toy Collecting Hobby?

Between "adulting" and everything else life throws at me, I find it hard to pursue my collecting interests, much less maintain my collection of ephemera. How do you manage to have "Geek" time?

  • Do you block time out per week?
  • Do you live a Geek lifestyle and collect 24/7?
  • You have no time and fit it in once in a Blue Moon? Whew! 2.7 years is long wait between collecting.
We would love to hear your method. Tell us in the comments below.

  1. i do find it hard to squeeze in, but if i'm too tired to work on my own stuff, i just browse all my toy pal's collections, blogs, & podcasts. a photo session a night is sometimes too much, due in part to the day gig.

    1. I think we all strive for a balanced life, but I just don't think that is possible. Something has to give. Whether it is work, family, or even toy collecting.

  2. Heh, given how much my collection has grown over the past year, I think I have too much time for collecting.. I blame working from home - all that time I used to spend commuting I get to spend looking at collectibles instead.

    1. I do think we have a propensity to spend more money than usual when we have more free time on our hands. This is where budgeting can come in handy.
