Batman vs Superman Officially Has a Title, Logo Revealed

The much anticipated sequel to Man of Steel finally has an official title. Last week Zack Snyder gave us a sneak peek at the new Ben Affleck batsuit and Batmobile and today Warner Brothers released a new logo that is a hybrid of the Batman and Superman insignias. The movie will no longer be known as Batman vs. Superman. It will now be known as Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice.

With the film originally rumored to actually be a Justice League movie, I am not surprised that "justice" has been worked into the title. It has been confirmed that Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman, and Cyborg will make appearances in the film.

Now that it has been confirmed that a Justice League movie will begin production immediately after Batman v Superman is completed, Dawn of Justice will be used to set up the next movie. Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice stars Henry Cavill as Superman/Clark Kent, Ben Affleck as Batman/Bruce Wayne, Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman/ Diana Prince, Amy Adams as Loise Lane, Jesse Eisenberg as Lex Luthor, and Jeremy Lyons as Alfred Pennyworth.

Let the count down begin. Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice opens in theaters May 6, 2016.

Is the title what you expected?

  1. I didn't see the new Superman due to the butchering of Perry White and probably will not see this one. It depends who is cast.

    1. It's worth checking out Hobby. Laurence Fishburne will be Perry White in the new film as well.

  2. I just hope it will be good. It seems like there maybe too much going on already, unless Cyborg and WW are just making cameos. Either way, I will have my butt in my seat, watching this come 2016.

    1. I have high hopes myself Mike and I am curious to see if Wonder Woman and Cyborg have major roles or are they just doing some kind of end credits teaser. I will definitely be at the theater when the times comes. Not only for Batman v Superman, but Captain America III, which opens at the same time. It's going to be a busy day.

  4. Nope. Not with Ben "Plasterface" Affleck nor with Gal Gadot who, despite being very cute, lacks the physical presence to portray a convincing WW. For the most part, casting is where DC falls short of Marvel.
