Having a Geek Related Site Has It's Privleges

I have wrapped up my 31 Days to a Better Toy Collection Challenge and still have two more posts to post completing the challenge. The Toy Room is finally in order, but this Father's Day Weekend I am taking the time to have an ultimate Geekfest. First, by seeing Man of Steel and secondly, enjoying the Amazing Las Vegas Comic-Con.

The LV Comic-Con has been full of comic book, Cosplay, and vintage toy goodness. I spotted a vintage Star Wars Droid Factory and had hopes to check this off my 10 Star Wars toy I want to have in my Toy Collection checklist, but unfortunately, the early bird catches the worm.

The booth with the Droid Factory was one of the first I visited, but I had intentions on coming back after having a chance of looking around a bit. However, upon my return a fellow toy collector was there and was cleaning house and spent a cool $1,500 on vintage Star Wars toys, including the Droid Factory I had my eye on. Back to the hunt for me.

The first two days of the Con I have mostly spent checking out the booths and photographing the Cosplayers. The third day will probably be more photo taking and sitting in on some panels. My family will be spending the last day with me at the Con and we will be ending the weekend with a family dinner.

I'll be reporting more on the LV Con over the next week, but here's a couple of sneak peeks for my buddies Eric from Toyriffic and Kal from Calvin's Canadian Cave of Cool.

More to come from the Amazing Las Vegas Comic-Con. Stay tuned.
