My Vintage X-Wing Fighter Looks Like It Just Rolled Off The Showroom Floor

Lock S-Foils in attack position!

Day 22 inspired another toy clean up and restoration on Day 23 of My 31 Days to a Better Toy Collection Challenge. This time with my vintage Kenner X-Wing Fighter vehicle.

This is a project that had begun a long time ago and again I have no idea as to why it took this long to complete. The original decals had been removed a while ago and I picked up a replacement windshield off eBay around the same time. I guess it's better late than never to finish the rest.

Like my Rebel Transport restoration, I used a dish soap, Oxi Clean, warm water solution to clean it up. This process was then followed by a set of replacement stickers to put on the finishing touch.

These replacement stickers came from the now non-existent Toy Restore, which was in my opinion the best site for replacement items. I don't know what became of them, but I wish they were still around. The decals were die-cut and you'd think they came from Kenner themselves. Maybe I need to fill the gap left by them.

    1. Thanks Mike. A X-Wing should be a staple of any Star Wars collection.
