Sinestro Corps Outfit Retro-Action Dc Super Heroes

The Postman cameth and guess what he brought me last week? My latest addition to my Retro-Action DC Super Heroes collection, Sinestro. Not the Sinestro from wave 1, but from wave 5 or 3.5 from what I am hearing is the proper wave number for the Matty Collector Green Lantern exclusives.

This version of Sinestro is in his Sinestro Corps costume. The Sinestro Corps is a villainous analogue to the Green Lantern Corps in the DC Universe, which is led by none other than Thaal Sinestro.

Same head sculpt as the wave one version, but has different eye coloring. Similar trick was used by Mego by using the Shazam head for Peter Parker.

He comes with the same yellow power battery as the first version and the same boot sculpt except in yellow instead of blue.

All in all a pretty nice figure, but a little bit of repeat of the wave one version. Looking forward to placing my order for on May 16 for Guy Gardner,  which you can see along with other characters in this wave on the back of the blister card. Stay tuned.

  1. i wanted this, and still do...$9.95 shipping makes it a little steep... still up in the air- wish they'd just send it to Toys 'R Us :(. maybe i'll order it with John Stewart later if it's still around

  2. I hear ya. I think these guys are a little steep at $20 a pop to begin with. Add the shipping and they're $30, but I love the Mego aspect of them and just can't pass them up. I am glad I picked up the Green Arrow exclusive when I did as it sold out fast.

  4. I agree. Whenever I look at my toy collection (especially the vintage toys) I get the same feeling I used to get being in the toy section as a kid. Aren't toys the greatest!
