What I Bought With My Hake's Americana Prize Money

As many of you may know, I won the Cool and Collected and Hake's Americana contest for League of Extraordinary Bloggers members. Hake's selected my post as the winner from the many posts entered by my fellow Leaguers. I am humbled to have won with so many great posts of pop culture collectible dreams hoping to come true.

I originally had a concept to start a prototype toy collection, but the bids had quickly gone beyond my budget and I decided to shoot for something that I felt would wind up more in my price range.

Even with all the Star Wars toys in my possession I have never owned any of the 12 inch action figures, which I've had a goal to start that part of my collection as well. So I decided now as just a good a time as any to get started and with $100 kick starting my bid I chose to go for the 12 inch Vintage Princess Leia figure,

The force was with me and my hunch to go for this figure was right on and I can expect my winning auction to arrive within the next week or so. Below is a look at what I won.

Item Description

  1. Very cool. I love my Hakes Shadow Ring which I paid all of six dollars for when MY gift certificate was used. It's so cool to have such a premium collectible in your collection because you know if you got it from Hakes that it's the real deal and the condition is immaculate. You will be very happy with what you get. Good on ya brother.
