And The Mego Batman Emblem T-Shirt Goes To...

Well here it is gang. The winner of The Batcave Toy Room's first promo giveaway is...We'll get to that in a minute.

It is my hope to reward the followers and those who put their two cents in at The Batcave Toy Room by running giveaway contests like these on a regular basis. July's contest was open to only Followers of The Batcave Toy Room and I will probably be opening it up to all depending on the giveaway. I had also hoped to gain more attention to the site and gain more readers. In the month of July, The Batcave Toy Room not only gained the most followers in a single month, but the most subscribers as well. Interestingly, none of the new followers entered the contest.

So, why the increase in followers and subscribers? Is it the latest post format of telling the tale behind each of my toys and other collectibles? Do you like that style of post? Or would you rather have more geek news on the TV series and films that inspire the toys? Also, why didn't more followers play?
Was the question too hard? Was the prize uninteresting? Would you buy the shirt if you didn't have the chance to win it?  Let me know what you think.

Oh, I almost forgot the answer to the question, "What toy line is this Batman emblem based on?" is Mego and the Mego Batman emblem t-shirt goes to Toyriffic author, Eric Stettmeier. Gosh that guy has all the luck. If you don't know Eric or are not familiar with his ultra cool toy site, Toyriffic, be sure to check it out. It is so ironic that Eric won this shirt since he loves Mego dollies so much. Actually, they are action figures to me. "Dollies" is what Eric calls them, but the best I'll give him is "Doll Figures." The Mego packaging states that's what they are folks.

Other followers who had the correct answer were Mike from The Sexy Geek's House of Swag and Danny from Plastic Mayhem. I also need to give a honorable mention to JBoypacman from Revenge From The Cosmic Ark. Congratulations Eric! You know how to get in touch with me. So, flash the Bat-Signal and let me know where it best to send your  prize. Thank for playing everyone.

  2. I'm going to wear my dolly shirt with pride!

The funny thing is I did not know where the emblem was from for the longest time and almost didn't enter. Then it hit me...duh! John has more dollies than Barbie has tutus, so maybe it's from a bat dolly...and voila I was right!

    Thanks again!

    1. That's awesome. I wondered if it was going to be too hard for new followers, but I thought it would be a piece of cake for those who knew me better. For those who answered incorrect, I was thinking come on gang, it's me. Glad you won. I should have it out to you in the next day or so. Enjoy!
