Time's Running to Help Adam West Get a Star

The deadline to contribute to the documentary that will help TVs Batman, Adam West, get a Hollywood Star is running out. As of March 31, 2011, $17,622 has been raised towards the $30,000 goal. To help give another push for donations Action Flick Chick has produced a video of her own. Check it out below.

To me it's funny that the Facebook book page promoting this documentary has 59,439 people that "like" this. If everyone who "liked" this donated a $1 the $30,000 goal would have been met already. I am going to donate. How about you?

Your New Outift is a Wonder...Wonder Woman

Last week we had a glimpse of Adrienne Palicki in her new, little less than wondrous, Wonder Woman costume. For me the new clothes were okay for something new, but weren't quite making the woman.

Many fans sounded off with their opinions over the net with similar thoughts about the outfit. Especially, her iconic red boots. As you can see the red boots are as they should be and her, for lack of a better word, leggings are more of a cotton material, instead of the former latex look. They even are adorned with the star spangled star field were all used too.

So what do you think? Doesn't she look great in action?

Bugs Bunny Meets the Superheroes

The Gals over at Girls Gone Geek posted this poster for the live action Bugs Bunny Meets the Super-heroes and I was immediately transported back to 1978. I remember my dad taking me to see this and it actually was shown at my high school auditorium. Eight years before I went to school there.

I don't remember much about what Bugs and his Looney Toon pals did. Other than them running around frantic when Batman and Robin were fighting with The Joker, Penguin, Riddler, and Catwoman. Wonder Woman was in it too, but I don't remember much of how she was involved. I do remember Chief O'Hara saying the Bat-signal didn't work or the bat-phone was down and had all the kids start yelling for Batman and Robin in hopes that they would hear. The Dynamic Duo did in fact hear us and came running down the center aisle.

I did take home a coloring book based on the show, but that was the only souvenir I received. There was a cool Batman mask available like the one Batman wore in the play, but unfortunately, I didn't get it.

That was an especially cool week for me as I also met Adam West and Burt Ward at an auto show that week. Those were some good times. For a look at a pic of the heroes on stage go HERE.

Full Captain America Trailer Finally Released

I am looking forward to all the comic book based summer blockbusters such as Green Lantern and Thor, but the one that looks like it is on the scale of Iron Man is Captain America: The First Avenger. We got a sneak peak during the Super Bowl, but the full trailer is finally up and I think it looks bad ass. Check it out below.

It's a Girl! Robin Rumored to be in The Dark Knight Rises

There is talk of director Christopher Nolan looking for another Gotham Girl. That girl is rumored to be Juno Temple and also rumored to be Robin, The Boy...I mean, Girl Wonder.

With Nolan already stating that Robin would not appear in any of the Batman films he directors this is definitely a rumor. At least the part of Temple playing Robin. But hey, I think a girl Robin could be hot.

First Look at Wonder Woman's New Duds.

So, I go on vacation for a week and look at what I missed. Wonder Woman put her clothes on. This came out a few days ago, but I thought I would share in case anyone missed it. Here's the first look at Adrienne Palicki in her Wonder Woman guise for the NBC TV series coming this fall.

I think it looks pretty cool, but she at least needs some red boots. I feel the costume has the look of the latest comic book incarnation, which is alright for something a little different, but I'll take Lynda Carter's satin tights over these any day.

What do you think of the new Wonder Woman costume?

The Quest for a Cowl: How to Make Adam West Batman Gloves

I've been shopping around for the best quality and most accurate costume components for my 1966 Batman TV series costume and from what I found, Chuck and Lynne Williams make the best Batman Cowl. I have also come to find out that the Williams' also make screen accurate Robin and Wonder Woman costumes as well.

One other cool thing I found was Lynne's blog "Sewing Cafe," where Lynne shares her sewing talents and a look at how these wonderful creations come together. Recently she revealed how to make Adam West style Batman gloves. When I was about 7 years old, I sewed a Spiderman costume for myself and actually learned how to sew back then, but I am not sure if I am going to attempt to make my own gloves. It is probably better to just buy a pair. If you want to check out Lynne's tutorial on how to make your Batman gloves, check it out HERE.
