Anne Hathaway Confirms She Will Actually be Catwoman In The Dark Knight Rises

Anne Hathaway my be indeed be Selina Kyle, but there had been some doubts among fellow Bat-fans that she would not actually play Catwoman. But the recent host of 83rd Academy Awards revealed, during todays interview on Oprah, that she was in fact cast as Catwoman. Last nights Oscars may have sucked, but I think Anne Hathaway as Batman's feline nemesis is going to rock.

The Dark Knight Intro Done in Batman 1966 Theme Style

While I was doing my regular search for cool Batman related videos, I came across this intro from the 1966 Batman TV series re-imagined with The Dark Knight in mind. Adam West's name was replace with Christian Bale's and Gary Oldman with a likeness of Commissioner Gordon is in place of Robin. The villains were replaced by versions from the movie. Look for Heath Ledger's Joker and Aaron Eckhart's Two-face. Even the Batmobile Tumbler is there over the George Barris version. I just love the creativity that goes into these fan made videos.

Can You Believe Adam West Doesn't Have a Hollywood Star?

Can you believe that Adam West, TVs Batman, does not have a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame?

The dastardly villains of Hollywood have not granted Adam a star for some reason and this crime has gone unpunished. It is time to do something about it.

A new documentary is being produced to help convince the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce to give Adam West his due. Check out the video below and then go HERE to make a donation and make this happen.

2011Toy Fair Retro-Action DC Super Heroes Green Lantern Exclusives

From the looks of the pic above from the 2011Toy Fair, the 5th wave of Retro-Action DC Super Hereos is going to be strictly Green Lantern related. I guess I had already heard this and it makes perfect sense with the new Green Lantern movie coming out this summer.

Like the previous waves the fifth wave will include four new figures as usual and those would be Green Lantern, Hal Jordon and Sinestro in new duds. Different from the previously released figures in wave 1. The other two in line will be temporary Hal Jordan replacements as the Green Lantern, Guy Gardner and John Stewart.

The figures look pretty cool to me and I will definitely be addding them to my collection. What does everyone else think?

David E Kelly Has Found His Wonder Woman

David E Kelly has selected Adrianne Palicki to star in his version of the Wonder Woman TV series. Palicki, who may be best remembered from Friday Night Lights, will be fighting for our rights in her satin tights this fall on NBC.

Palicki also had a role in the pilot of another DC comic alumni, Aquaman, as The Siren. The Aquaman TV series was never picked up because of the WB and UPN merger.

What does everyone think? Does Adrianne Palicki fit the part of our favorite amazon?

The Dark Knight Rises is Re-titled Inception 2

The Dark Knight Rises is beginning to look like a cast reunion for Inception. We just need to add Leonardo DiCaprio and we're all set. There are a lot of directors who like to use the same actors for their projects and it looks like Christopher Nolan is no different.

We previously speculated that Natalie Portman is out of the Running for Batman 3. Along with her, Marion Cotillard, who like Portman is pregnant with her first child. But it looks like that is not the case as Cotillard will be joining Christian Bale (Batman) and Anne Hathaway (Catwoman) in the third installment of Christopher Nolan's take on The Caped Crusader.

Cotillard will also be joining her Inception co-stars, Tom Hardy and Joseph Gordon-Leavitt (in an unannounced role). She will also be joining Michale Caine, who also starred in the film.

Cotillard, who is due in April, will begin filming her scenes in June and continue on until November. The Dark Knight Rises is set for a July 2012 release.

Michael Rosenbaum WILL be Back on Smallville

Fans of Smallville have been waiting with high anticipation to see if Micahel Rosenbaum, who portrayed Superman's #1 villain for seven seasons, would be back for the series final season. After various reports that he would not, it has finally been confirmed that he will indeed be back for the two hour series finale.

Rosenbaum says he is "delighted" to be back on show. "I am simply doing it for the fans out there who made Smallville the great success it is," he said. "I appreciate all their passion, their relentlessness and even their threats. Ha ha. I can't wait to hug the old crew back in Vancouver one last time and see all my old friends once again... Oh, and for Lex to become the badass he's destined to be."

It definitely looks the series finale is going to be awesome. The two hour series finale of Smallville airs May 13.

2011 Retro-Action DC Super Heroes Ad

I got a glimpse of this cool ad from Toyfare #163, which prominently features the removable cowl Batman. I just finished completing my collection of the third wave of the Retro-Action DC Super Heroes and I am already looking forward to wave four. I haven't seen characters past wave four, but I sure hope there is going to be a wave five.

Captain America: The First Avenger Trailer

We finally get to see more of Captain America: The First Avenger than just pictures. The release of the trailer took place for the Super Bowl. I think this movie looks great and will be right up there with Iron Man as far as story telling. I hadn't even thought of it before, but seeing Chris Evans as weakling Steve Rodgers and transformed into the shield wielding Captain America is just great. I am generally more a DC guy rather than a Marvel, but I am definitely looking forward to this one.

Ellen Page Get My Vote as Lois Lane in the Next Superman Movie

We have revealed that Henry Cavill is the new Superman, but rumors have started that there is a leading lady list, just like the one for The Dark Knight Rises, for the upcoming Superman movie. The latest Intel says the list has gone from 11 down to 3 and that Lois Lane might not even be in Superman: The Man of Steel. I kind of have my doubts that Lois would be absent, but you never know. Ellen Page was on the original list of 11 and after seeing this pic Page gets my vote. I think I see Superman undies there too.

Any ideas who should be Superman's leading lady?

Update: Actress Amy Adams has been cast as The Man of Steel's love interest, Lois Lane.

Darth Vader in the Best 2011 Super Bowl Ad

Sneak peaks of this years Super Bowl commercials are cropping up and for me I'd like to catch some sneak peeks of the trailers for the movies coming out this summer. Especially, Captain America: The First Avenger, but I'll have to wait until Sunday. In the meantime, here's a look at the latest Volkswagen commercial featuring Darth Vader. Your powers are weak young man.

Check it out below.

Joseph Gordon-Levitt Joins the Cast of The Dark Knight Rises

We had previously reported that Joseph Gordon-Levitt was up for the part of The Riddler in the next Batman movie, but so far we may be half right as Gordon-Levitt has been added to the cast.

Some rumours out there are now saying that Joesph Gordon-Levitt is playing the part of Dick Grayson. Christopher Nolan has said before that they'll be no Robin as long as he is the director of a Batman movie and Christian Bale claims that if Robin is in, he's out. So, that doesn't mean we won't see Dick Grayson. Maybe just without a red vest and yellow cape.

What do you think about Joseph Gordon-Levitt as The Boy Wonder?

Adam West Voice Over on National Hebrew Commercial

It's great that TVs Batman is still working even at 82 years young. West had provided the voice of Batman in the animated series The New Adventures of Batman and the last couple of seasons of the Superfriends. You can also hear his voice talents most recently as Mayor West on Family Guy, but here is Adam's latest for National Hebrew. Take a listen for his distinctive voice.
