Natalie Portman Out of the Running For Batman 3

We've seen Padme pregnant with twins in the Star Wars prequels, but this time it is real. A rep for the 29 year old Golden Globe nominated actress confirms that Natalie Portman is pregnant.

And then there were five. We previously reported that director Christopher Nolan had a list of six actresses that he was meeting with for parts as either a villain or love interest in The Dark Knight Rises. Since Natalie Portman will probably be due or there abouts the time that Batman 3 will beginning filming, she is most likely out of the running.

Portman has not released the due date of the baby or her forthcoming wedding. That's right fellas, Portman is off the market. She is engaged too.

Update 01/04/10: Natalie Portman who was interviewed recently by Entertainment Weekly was asked about her possible role in The Dark Knight, What was her reply? "Oh, I don't know anyhting about that." The fact that she is now pregnant leaves Natalie Portman out of the running for Batman 3. Since filming will probably begin around the time she is due.

Batman Unable to Solve Santa's Secret Identity

For some reason Batman can't figure out Santa Clause's real name is Kris Kringle. Go figure. Anyway, Merry Christmas from The Batcave Toy Room!

Should Star Wars Characters Sing Christmas Songs?

If you think Yoda singing Christmas Carole's is bad, listen to Princess Leia sing the Wookie Life Song.

Imperial Forces Squash the Christmas Dreams Of Millions of Children

Armoured behemoths, twenty stories high, crushing everything in their path, including Santa's sleigh. Darn AT-AT's. Merry Christmas!

Anne Hathaway Confirms Possible Role in Batman 3: The Dark Knight Rises...Maybe

We now know what happened to rumor that rumor of Heath Ledger having a cameo in Batman 3...it was false, but few weeks ago we discussed that Christopher Nolan was meeting with six actresses for two possible lead roles in his next Batman movie. One role is to be a villain and one a love interest. Time will tell who will fill these parts, but one possible candidate is Anne Hathaway.

In an interview with Deadline, here's what Anne had to say:

Deadline: There is a strong group of actresses in your age range who are mentioned for all plum parts that come along. It's going on right now as Chris Nolan gets started on a new Batman, and you've been mentioned as a candidate for that. Do you find yourself competing against certain actresses or any you measure yourself against?

Hathaway: Of course, but that has always been the case. There is always competition...I don't know how to answer that question, it feels too revealing, somehow.

Where's Merle?

It's going to be a good 10 months before The Walking Dead is back for its 2nd season, but we are already starting to see teasers of what the 2nd season may bring.

So, where is Merle? The last we saw of him was his hand. Left where he was last seen, handcuffed to the roof of a building in downtown Georgia. One interesting theory I have heard thinks Merle lead the zombies back to where our group of refugees had camp set up. Did he do this to get revenge? I guess we'll have to wait and see in October.

What do you think happened to Merle? Are you dying with anticipation for next season of The Walking Dead ?

Family Guy - "It's a Trap" DVD Trailer

I have absolutely loved the previous two Family Guy Star Wars Parodies, "Blue Harvest" and "Something, Something, Something Dark Side", and now "It's a Trap!" is coming out on DVD this week. I am sure my cool as heck wife is planning to have it under the tree this Christmas for me. I can't wait! "It's a Trap!" comes out on DVD December 21st.

Have you seen the other Star Wars parodies from Family Guy? Are planning on picking up a copy of "It's a Trap" this week?

Doctor Who Meets Star Wars Mashup

I thought this trailer mixing the original Star Wars Trilogy with Doctor Who was great. I especially like Obi-Wan falling off the tractor beam control station's ledge and Admiral Ackbar's flubbed lines, "It's a Map, It's a Plant, It's a Trap!" in the bloopers. Speaking of bloopers they are done just like the the Easter eggs you can find on the Star Wars DVDs with the Cantina theme playing in the back ground. Enjoy!

Batman 3 Rumors: Heath Ledger, The Return of Two-Face, Who the Next Batman Villain Will Be

Rumors surrounding The Dark Rises like Heath Ledger appearing in Batman 3 are going around everywhere. Most recently news leaked that Batman will encounter a villain that learns his true identity, sounds like Professor Hugo Strange to me, and that Commissioner Gordon is ordered to arrest Batman. The good news is these rumors are all true, but may not be exactly true for The Dark Knight Rises.

This seemingly logical plot description is actually for the video game Batman: Arkham City. Sounds like it could be the plot of the next Batman movie couldn't it? After all, The Dark Knight ended with Batman on the run from the police, who believe him responsible for murders that were committed by Two-Face.

So the rumors could be true, but the only things that have been confirmed about the movie so far are the title, that The Joker and Two-Face are out, and Tom Hardy has a role. I am sure we will learn more by the time filming begins next April or the very least on July 20, 2012.

Are you excited about the next Batman movie The Dark Knight Rises?

Jon Favreau says, "No, Thanks." to Iron Man 3

Jon Favreau is out as director of Iron Man 3. You may be asking yourself, "Is this true?" or "Am I dreaming?", but you are not dreaming and it is true. Jon Favreau will not be directing Iron Man 3.

According to New York Magazine, a possible reason Favreau is out has to do with Marvel's apparent desire to stuff Iron Man 3 with a bunch of second tier heroes.

Another theory is money. Favreau was paid $10 million for Iron Man 2, plus a share of the back end. Those figures would undoubtedly go up for IM3.

I don't know about you, but for me, Iron Man without Jon Favreau is like Batman without Christopher Nolan. I think this blows and maybe we should start a petition for Jon Favreau to stick around as director.

What do you think about all this? Will Jon still play Happy Hogan?

Congratulations to The Walking Dead for Their Golden Globe Nod!

It was announced today, by the Hollywood Foreign Press Association, that my favorite new show, The Walking Dead was honored with a nod in the category Best Television Series (Drama).

Competing with The Walking Dead and Mad Men for the Best Drama award are HBO's Boardwalk Empire, Showtime's Dexter and CBS's The Good Wife.

I can't believe AMC only ordered six episodes for the first season. I guess we'll just have to watch the show win all kinds of awards until next Halloween.

What do you think about The Walking Dead only filming six episodes for it's first season?

Hi Diddle Riddle: Frank Gorshin Sings The Riddler

When you're hot, you're hot. So take advantage of it as much as you can. Like many actors, when fame hits you on TV or in the movies, actors give a shot at their singing skills. Soon as the first Batman TV series episode "Hi Diddle Riddle" aired, Frank Gorshin was definitely a household name. And just like Adam West's release of "Miranda" or Burt Ward's "Boy Wonder I Love You", Frank Gorshin gave a shot at his voice talents to cut an album named after the character that made him a household name, The Riddler. The song itself is pretty catchy and is very similar to the songs TVs Batman and Robin recorded. Take a listen.

Thor Trailer Finally Officially Released

The Trailer for Thor, the next installment of Marvel's comic heroes to be turned into a movie leading up to the mega The Avengers, has finally been released. A couple of weeks ago The Green Lantern trailer was released giving us the first glance of Ryan Reynold's shot as the Emerald Guardian. I thought the Green Lantern looked pretty cool, but my money is on Thor. This looks even sweeter. Marvel definitely knows what their doing when bringing their characters to the big screen theses days.

Win the Green Honet's Black Beauty From Carl's Jr.

As you may know, I think the 1966 TV series Batmobile is the ultimate collectible. Not just a toy version, but the actual running automobile. But if I can't get Batman's famous car at the moment and had a chance to pick up The Green Hornet's rolling arsenal, I wouldn't turn it down.

So I dragged my wife over to Carl's Jr. the other day, well, I didn't exactly drag her, she came on her own free will. All I had to say was, I'd like to get a shot at winning The Green Hornet's car, The Black Beauty, and she was all about it.

If you buy a large drink, you will receive a cup with a special code for a chance to win The Black Beauty. Then all you do is go over to http://www.facebook.com/carlsjr and enter the special code. I won't know if I won until sometime next year, but it would be too cool to win, wouldn't it?

Check out Seth Rogen as The Green Hornet below in the Carl's Jr. Promotional commercial.

Both Ledger and Eckhart Are Out For Batman 3: The Dark Knight Rises

We had discussed previously the appearance of Heath Ledger's Joker in Batman 3: The Dark Knight rises and it turns out it was just a rumor. Christopher Nolan has confirmed that Heath Ledger will not have a cameo in the latest Batman film.

IndieWire reports:

shoot down reports that he'll resurrect The Joker by including unused footage of Heath Ledger's performance in the previous chapter. "That's all wrong," said the writer-director, who's also producing the next Superman movie, for Zack Snyder to direct.

On a similar note, the rumor of Aaron Eckhart appearing in The Dark Knight Rises is also a rumor.

Eckart told MTV News:

"Chris and I had a meeting, on the beach, just the two of us...I said, 'Chris, a lot of people are asking me if I'm in the next Batman. And Chris said, "Yes? I said, 'Am I?' He looked at me and he said, 'No.'

You can hear Aaron Eckhart confirm no Two-Face in The Dark Knight Rises HERE.

So, what do you think? Are you disappointed The Joker will not be back even in a cameo? Wouldn't it make sense since Two face is dead that it wouldn't make sense that he returned anyway. Let us hear your thoughts.
