Well, this isn't really a lost episode, but it didn't air during the run of the series.
I remember reading at one time that when producer William Dozier wanted to add Batgirl to the third season of the Batman TV series he produced a short presentation film to help sell the idea to ABC.
I had always wondered what that presentation film was like and if there was any way to see it. Then one day at a Comic Con someone was selling copies and I immediately bought one.
I thought it was the coolest thing to be able to see this Batman short. This short in my opinion was produced better than most of the actual third season episodes. The sets were more like the previous two seasons and they even brought back the super imposed Pow's and Biff's from the first season rather than the cut away versions from the second season.
It was cool seeing Killer Moth as the guest villain in this film. Although he didn't have as cool of a costume the Killer Moth had in the comics. Killer Moth was the first villain Batgirl encountered in the comics. Why they chose not to just expand this episode for the third season is a mystery.
Notice Batgirl's mask comes to points under eyes. The mask was later changed because the points would leave impressions on Yvonne Craig's cheeks. This didn't work well for filming scenes of her as Barbara Gordon after a Batgirl scene.
Most Bat Fans have seen this presentation before, but if you haven't check it out. Also, notice Joe E Tata as one of Killer Moth's henchman. Joe E Tata appeared on three other episodes of Batman, but most people know him as Nat from Beverly Hills 90210.
